A New Perspective Psychotherapy
Ready to Feel Less Overwhelmed and More Confident Moving Forward?
I help teens, young adults, and parents understand what’s keeping them stuck and find a path that feels clearer and more manageable
Psychotherapy for teens, young adults, and parents - in-person in Toronto and online across Ontario.

You’ve been doing your best, but things still feel heavy. Whether you’re a young person struggling to make sense of your emotions or a parent watching from the sidelines, unsure how to help, therapy can be a starting point.
A New Perspective offers a supportive place to untangle what’s going on inside and find real, lasting support.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Hi, I'm Kristin,
I help find clarity when everything feels messy, confusing,
and too much.
I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to the therapy room.
Like many young adults and families I support, I’ve navigated the emotional and practical challenges of parenting neurodivergent kids, including school refusal, assessments, new diagnoses, and the long road to securing the right accommodations you or your loved ones need to thrive. I’ve sat in the meetings, read the reports, done the research, and advocated hard, just like you may be doing now.
I’ve also done my own work in therapy. I understand what it’s like to live with anxiety, to carry high-achieving, perfectionistic parts that push you forward and leave you exhausted. I know how the ripple effects of parental divorce in childhood can quietly shape your adult relationships, your self-worth, and the way you show up in the world.
In our work together, I show up as a real person, calm, curious, compassionate, and not afraid to go deep. I welcome the messy parts of being human and create space to explore them without judgment.
Whether you’re a teen, a young adult figuring out next steps, or a parent feeling unsure how to help, I’m here to support you in a way that feels grounded, collaborative, and truly personalized.
Who I Help...
Support for ages 10–17
Your child is struggling, maybe with big emotions, friendships, school stress, or family changes. I help kids and teens make sense of what they’re feeling and build skills to feel more confident, connected, and in control.
Support for ages 18 - 39
Whether you’re in school, finishing a degree, or trying to figure out the next 40 years of your life, life can feel overwhelming.
We’ll explore what’s weighing on you, clarify your goals, and help you feel more grounded and in charge of your path.
You’re trying everything, but your teen is still struggling — and it’s affecting the whole family. I support parents in understanding what’s going on beneath the surface and strengthening the connection with their child or teen.
You’re doing your best to keep it all together.
But inside, it feels like you’re unraveling.
You don’t have to keep carrying it alone.
What Do I Help With...
Complex Trauma
You might not be sure if what you’ve been through “counts” as trauma, but something inside still feels stuck, raw, or too much. Maybe it shows up as anxiety, shame, or just a sense that you're never fully safe or settled. We’ll work together to gently untangle what’s underneath, so you can begin to feel more grounded in the present.
Transitions & Anxiety
You’re doing your best to hold it together, maybe even look like you’ve got it all figured out. But inside, things feel confusing and off-track. Whether you’re starting school, finishing, or facing what’s next, I’ll help you make sense of what’s happening and navigate the uncertainty with more clarity and self-trust.
Self-Worth & Belonging
You’ve always held yourself to a high standard, and maybe from the outside, it seems like you’re doing well. But inside, there’s a quiet pressure that whispers “not enough.” In therapy, we’ll explore where that voice comes from, begin to loosen its grip, and help you feel more grounded in your worth — just as you are.
Parental Divorce
Your parents’ separation may have happened recently, or years ago, but you're still carrying the emotional impact. You might feel caught in the middle, unseen, or unsure where you belong. Therapy offers a place to work through the pain and confusion, and begin to reconnect with yourself.
It Doesn’t Have To Feel This Hard Forever. Support Is Here.
Evidence--Based Therapy Approaches
Internal Family Systems Therapy IFS
A gentle model that helps you explore your inner world by getting to know and heal the parts of you that carry pain, fear, or self-criticism.
Therapy Intensives
Sometimes 50-minute sessions just aren’t enough. Intensives give us unhurried time to go deeper, to process trauma, connect with your inner parts, and move toward lasting change using IFS and evidence-based trauma approaches.
Integrative Therapy
I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches to tailor sessions to your unique needs, goals, and ways of understanding the world.
Wherever you are, support is within reach.
I offer both in-person sessions in Toronto
and secure virtual therapy across Ontario and Canada,
so you can choose what feels right for you.
Online Therapy
You’re juggling a lot. Therapy should be flexible enough to fit into your life.
Online sessions offer flexibility and comfort, whether you're at home, in your dorm, or in any private space where you feel safe to talk. As long as you're located in Ontario or elsewhere in Canada, I can meet you virtually.
With over three years of experience providing online therapy, I’ve learned how to adapt evidence-based approaches like IFS, DBT, and trauma-informed CBT to work well in a virtual format, while building real and meaningful connections.

In-Person Therapy
Sometimes, being in the same room makes all the difference.
If you feel more comfortable connecting face-to-face or benefit from a calm, welcoming space away from daily distractions, in-person therapy might be the right fit for you.
Sessions take place in a private office located at 1262 Don Mills Rd. in North York, easily accessible by transit and with free parking available.
Whether you're a teen, young adult, or parent, this is a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and do the deeper work - together.
